Katie Koza: Philanthropy Chair
Hi, my name is Kalynn Koza and I am the Philanthropy Chair of ISCAVMA. Throughout junior high and high school I volunteered my time with numerous philanthropic organizations. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Sociology from Kansas State University, and during those 4 years I devoted a major portion of time to reviving the American Red Cross club. I held the position of Health and Safety chairperson for which I was responsible for recruiting students to teach CPR & first aid, as well as teach an after school program on natural disasters. Upon graduation, I was hired full-time at a non-profit organization as a Campus Organizer. I soon realized my childhood passion to be a veterinarian was too strong and I went back to school for my DVM. I feel very blessed that I am able to marry my two life passions together. I look forward to finding new opportunities for vet med students to give back to their community. Please feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions!

I grew up in a small town in Southeastern Illinois called Olney and am recently married to Mr. Leland Bunting, who is now an agriculture teacher at Arcola High School.
